Preservation, Recreation and Sport

THE 34TH ANNUAL RHODE ISLAND STATEWIDE HISTORIC PRESERVATION CONFERENCE

Saturday, April 6, 2019 · East Providence

CALL FOR IDEAS

We invite proposals for individual presentations as well as complete sessions on historic preservation topics in Rhode Island. Proposals may focus on Preservation, Recreation and Sport—or explore other important preservation issues in the state, such as historic district zoning, local preservation tools, economics, advocacy, and sustainability.

In Rhode Island, historic preservation is a big tent! We welcome your perspective and expertise from related fields: architecture, architectural history, archaeology, conservation, landscape architecture, law, museum studies, planning/policy, programming, public history, stewardship, technology, etc. We also encourage recommendations for the keynote speaker.

The deadline for submitting ideas is November 7, 2018. Registration fees are waived for conference panelists and moderators. We will respond by November 30.

Have an idea but aren’t the person to do it? Feel free to share!
