Back to the Future

Saturday, April 25, 2020 · Warwick

We invite proposals for panel or solo presentations on historic preservation topics in Rhode Island. Proposals may relate to concepts of the future and historic preservation—or explore other important preservation issues in the state, such as historic district zoning, local preservation tools, economics, advocacy, sustainability, etc. Also seeking suggestions for tours on foot, bus, or bicycle.

In Rhode Island, historic preservation is a big tent! We welcome your perspective and expertise from related fields: architecture, architectural history, archaeology, building conservation, landscape architecture, law, museum studies, planning, policy, programming, public history, stewardship, technology, tourism, etc. We also encourage recommendations for the keynote speaker.

The deadline for submitting ideas has been extended to November 15, 2019. Registration fees are waived for speakers, tourguides, and moderators. We will respond in early December.

Have an idea but aren’t the person to do it? Feel free to share!
